The "Roof of the World" series is inspired by the book by Jon Krakauer „Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mount Everest Disaster”.

A large-format painting with a silver schlagalumin abstract background, a limited color palette and sharp brushstrokes makes a huge impression when viewed directly. Additionally, the silver sky changes the mood of the mountains depending on the lighting.
In addition to schlagalumin, white oil paint and brown mordant were used; the HDF background is also visible in the composition.
