Piece inspired by the works of a Japanese artist whose exhibition I saw in 2009 at the National Museum in Tokyo. Unfortunately, I didn't realize at the time that it made such an impression on me and I didn't write down the name... I've been looking for him/her since then to buy an album or a poster. In vain - so I had to paint what I remember...

When natural plywood is in use, there's always a chance it would change shape when in contact with hot and dry air of home heated in winter - that's what happened here.
"Twisted" backgraound (se on photos) do not disturb view from the front at all, but it might be bothering if there is a longer perspective to see it from the side - like in corridor or stairway.
