As long as I remember, my Father used to make origami crane for us whenever he had a rare time to sit with kids at a table to play with craft works. And so, I associate this shape with happy memories of my childhood and also of some recent times. In the summer, during two days of preparations for my sister's wedding, he made a mountain of cranes, one for each wedding guest with one's name on it.
The first in the "Origami" series was a single crane, then a boat; and these two have made me want to play more with origami shapes and the limited color palette, so it looks like the series might be longer.
