My Flower - My Rules
In the fall of 2020 I was diagnosed with Covid-19 and had to stay at home during the entire wave of the Black Strike of Polish Women. I worked on this painting thinking about how lucky I am to have lived to witness the mass awakening of sisterhood around the world and the slow but sure breaking down of patriarchy. I'm not sure I'll live long enough to see it end, but I'm certainly looking at a big change.
Piece is oil, schlagmetal and varnish on an HDF board, which is a visible part of the project. The whole thing is on a wooden frame.
I prefer my works not to be framed, if the recipient deems it necessary, it should be a very thin, non-invasive frame, such as an angle bracket mounted from the back or the so-called american box.
