The work gave me great pleasure - a great opportunity to combine the West with the East, i.e. the Texas desert with my favorite aesthetics of the Japanese screen.
I'm so glad that a friend from Austin came up with such a topic and accepted the concept.

Recently I was visited in the Studio by my new friend and he confirmed what I sadly know for a long time now - photos give only a fraction of beauty and impact of these works. For once gold is very hard to capture, second - size matters in these matter. It's really totally differnt feeling when you face in person painting bigger than you.
